| DIVINE ENCOUNTERS

"How can such a tiny lady, paddling that canoe all alone, be so grateful..."
God chooses people to accomplish His will.
Many blessings are experienced during missions trips to riverside communities. Our boat takes volunteers to meet those who live deep in the Amazon, and these encounters are often truly divine.
Andreia Rodrigues Costa, our volunteer and missionary, tells us about an encounter she had the privilege to experience with a lady navigating a small canoe in the riverside community of São José do Araras, Amazonas.
She was tremendously blessed by the God who frees, provides, heals, and still gives us the opportunity to live wonderful moments where sharing draws us closer to Him and to one another.
“I was on the boat when a lady arrived in a small canoe and asked me for water. She told me she hadn’t caught any fish and was very thirsty.
I gave her some food we had on the boat and some cold water. I asked if I could pray with her together with another volunteer.
We prayed, and she, who had arrived with a sad face and thirsty, thanked us and left so joyful. From afar, out in the middle of the river, she kept turning around and waving goodbye to us.
I was amazed to have lived this moment.
How can such a tiny lady, paddling that canoe all alone, be so grateful?
How can God give me the privilege of living this moment, meeting this lady, sharing with her, and seeing her happy?
God is wonderful.
I never imagined I could go on such a trip. I used to have a fear of water, of planes, and of heights, but God healed me and took away my fear. I experienced the presence of God at every moment of the trip. I learned from every volunteer and community member I met.
I experienced love and fellowship.
God surprises us.
He chooses us and makes it happen.
We cannot let fear shake us.
This trip was the best experience of my life.
I saw miracles happening and returned with many experiences to share."
Wonderful blessings from our wonderful God.

Andreia traveled with her husband, Wilker, and their children, Mariana and Josué.
She lived days in which the presence of the Most High God guided every action she took.
May life always be this way.
In the city, in the community, on the plane, on the boat, or anywhere God takes us, may we always look to the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ, the one who commissions us to serve Him, to live with Him, for Him, and through Him.
| SEEING THE SEED BEING PLANTED IS SOMETHING WONDERFUL!

This trip took place from July 13 to 21, when we visited the riverside community of São José do Araras. It was a precious time.
Many activities were carried out, such as medical consultations with our two volunteer doctors; dental care with our five volunteer dentists; recreational activities and Bible storytelling for children with our children’s ministry and evangelism team, and so much more—drama, soccer, music, dance, crafts, home visits, chaplaincy.
At all times, the love and gospel of Jesus Christ were shared through actions and words, through hugs, smiles, tears, and walking alongside people.
He chose volunteers from various cities and states of Brazil such as Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Fortaleza, Goiás, São Paulo, and Amazonas.
It was a blessing to have the people of God united to serve once again.
Mariana Coutinho, coordinator of the children’s ministry, tells us a little about how it all happened:
“It was truly a privilege to participate in the last ‘Ide Araras’. We saw the gratitude on everyone’s face.
Realizing that what needed to be done was accomplished is just so rewarding.
It was a time of learning, of meeting humble people who have so little but, at the same time, have so much to give us.
Truly, seeing the seed of Christ being planted is something wonderful!"

| INSTRUMENTS OF GOD’S LOVE!

When we live in cities, with easy transportation and mobility, we can hardly imagine how challenging and exhausting it can be for some people to accomplish such basic and essential tasks as going to a hospital, having an exam, or starting a medical treatment.
In the interior of the Amazon, in riverside communities and hard-to-reach locations, life can be much harder than we are used to in our urban comforts.
But our God does infinitely more than we could ever dream or imagine. He brings relief and hope in surprising ways, calms the afflicted, and allows His love to be known, even in the most remote places.
Recently, Marcos Baughman and Peter Stuart, our missionary pilots, had the privilege of being instruments of God’s love by providing air transportation for a man who needed to travel to receive medical care in the city.
“The Madeira River is very high, almost overflowing, and the road from Lábrea to Porto Velho has some damaged sections due to the collapse of a bridge.
Amid these difficulties, a man who needed to travel from Lábrea to Boa Vista for a medical appointment, unable to go by land, had his needs met.
We were chosen to do God’s work, and we had the privilege of blessing this man and enabling him to reach Porto Velho in a flight of approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Everything went well, praise God.”
Just like in this story, there are many people who need to be reached with much more than opportunities, they are the target of God’s grace, and we want to reach them.
We serve isolated peoples through aviation.
We strive to bless and are blessed while serving.
Join the mission, because God chooses people and accomplishes His work.
The Lord does great things, at all times!
| ON THE WINGS OF PRAYER
"Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." — 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

Let us always rejoice in our God for His goodness and great love.
He is faithful and will fulfill all His will in our lives.
May He grant us the privilege of being useful instruments in His hands, fulfilling all His divine purposes in our lives!
We need your support in prayer:
🙏 Pray for the aircraft undergoing maintenance and for the missionary flight operations;
🙏 Pray for the riverside communities that have been reached through boat trips;
🙏 Pray for the health, wisdom, training, and protection of the entire team of missionaries and volunteers.
Prayer is essential sustenance in our journey and brings us into the Father’s arms.
Thank you for interceding with us and on our behalf!
We are grateful to God and to you for joining us and supporting our missionary work.
Be a part of it too!
Use your gifts and talents to bless others.
Serve and give so that missions can be carried out
