Missionary Flights

Our mission flights connect missionaries and resources to the most isolated communities in the Amazon. With safety, agility, and love, we travel great distances to bring the gospel to places where roads and rivers make the journey nearly impossible. Each flight is a bridge between need and hope—a practical response to the call to serve.

Asas de Socorro works with missionary aviation in Brazil, mainly in the interior of the Amazon. This means that we transport missionaries – and whatever else they need – to places that are difficult to access. This way, they can reach their destination safely and quickly, ready to preach and live the Gospel among those people.

The importance of flights can be highlighted by the testimony of Valerie Brown, a missionary with the Amazon Evangelical Mission (MEVA):

“If Asas didn’t exist, we would have to travel about 100 km on a very bad road, spend three or four days by boat to get to village ‘x’ and then another six hours by boat to the village where I’m working now. With Asas, I can get to the village in 1h15min, probably spending the same or less than I would spend by boat.”
