Be a Missionary
And serve on one of our bases

-
Administrative Department (Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Asset Management, and Information Technology)
-
Communications and Fundraising (Marketing, Writing, Journalism and Publishing, Advertising, Filmmaking and Photography, Events and Conferences)
-
Flight School (Instruction)
-
Aircraft Maintenance Shop (Mechanics)
-

Regardless of the role to be performed, all missionaries in our organization serve on a volunteer basis and must meet the following requirements:
-
Be at least 18 years old.
-
Have basic theological training (minimum of 32 credits | 544 classroom hours).
-
Be an active member of a recognized evangelical church.
-
Be sent and supported by your sending church and partner churches.
-
If a foreigner, have all the required documentation and legal permits to reside in Brazil.
If your interest is in serving as a pilot or mechanic, please take note of the specific requirements and considerations for each role:
a) For those who are already licensed pilots:
To become a pilot with Asas de Socorro, you must have completed both the Private Pilot Airplane (PPA) and Commercial Pilot Airplane (CPA) certifications, and have logged at least 400 flight hours.
If you are interested in working as a flight instructor, you will also need to complete the Flight Instructor Airplane (INVA) course.
Additionally, you must undergo standardization in accordance with Asas de Socorro’s procedures and guidelines.
b) For those who are already certified aircraft mechanics:
You must have completed all modules of the Aircraft Mechanics and Maintenance course and possess the Technical Qualification Certificate (CHT) required by ANAC (Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority).
c) For those who want to become pilots:
You can serve as a missionary with Asas de Socorro while studying at our Flight School. This pathway allows you to pursue a career as a missionary pilot.
After completing all necessary training, you will be assigned to the mission base where you’ll serve.
If applying as a pilot candidate, the preferred maximum age is 35, but candidates older than 35 will still be considered by the admissions committee.
d) For those who want to become mechanics:
Asas de Socorro no longer offers the Aircraft Mechanics and Maintenance course. However, it is still possible to serve as a missionary while attending another school.
During the week, you may work as a mechanic’s assistant at the Asas de Socorro hangar in Anápolis-GO. Once certified, you can take on greater responsibilities and continue serving in the ministry.
